HTC has confirmed that it will begin shipping unlocked HTC 10 orders to customers in the U.S. next week.

Verizon has already started shipping units out to its own customers, leaving those who ordered directly from HTC scratching their heads.

For a short while, it looked like Verizon’s early exclusive on the HTC 10 would mean that Big Red subscribers would be receiving their shiny new smartphones before those who paid full price for an unlocked model directly from HTC.

But HTC’s Senior Global Communications Manager, Jeff Gordon, has now confirmed that won’t happen. In response to fans on Twitter, Gordon confirmed that U.S. orders will begin shipping next week, while those for the U.K. will go out in early May.

Droid Life warns, however, that it may not be smooth sailing from here on out.

“HTC uses a company called Digital River to handle distribution of their online ordering system,” warns Kellex. “I mention them because they made quite a mess out of the HTC Vive launch a few weeks back. The mess included credit card payments being canceled moments before shipments were supposed to start and HTC offering very little help.”

You shouldn’t worry about all that just yet, though. Just look forward to getting your HTC 10 soon.
