Sony’s fix for the Stagefright vulnerability is finally rolling out to its latest Androids. The Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Dual, and the Xperia Z5 Compact are getting the release, which also enhances camera performance, and makes other improvements.

The release weighs in at around 281MB, XperiaBlog reports, and it eliminates the Stagefright vulnerability on Sony’s latest devices to give early adopters peace of mind. It also makes a number of other improvements that should be welcome.

One of those is enhanced camera performance, users reports, and another is increased accuracy of the fingerprint scanner. The update also improves heat management, so your Xperia shouldn’t get quite as warm while under heavy loads.

Sony’s update is already rolling out in multiple regions over-the-air, and via the company’s PC Companion app for Windows. If you don’t want to wait for it to reach you, you can download the FTF firmware files for manual flashing via the source link below.
