If you have no interest in the new Apple TV, or even Amazon’s latest Fire TV lineup, then perhaps a generous discount on the Nexus Player can tempt you. The device can currently be had from Best Buy for just $49.99, which is $30 less than its regular retail price.

The Nexus Player is the easiest way to bring Android TV to your existing HD set, and because it’s Google’s own box, it gets the latest Android TV updates as soon as they’re available. That means you’ll get Android 6.0 Marshmallow as soon as it’s available this fall.

The Nexus Player is normally priced at $79 — and that’s exactly how much you’ll pay today if you buy it direct from the Google Store. Buy it at Best Buy, however, and you’ll pay just $49.99. The retailer has also reduced the price of the Nexus Player gamepad from $39.99 to $29.99.

It’s unclear how long these reductions will last, so if you’re interested in taking advantage of them, you’ll want to do so as soon as possible.
