Google has slashed $70 off the original Asus ZenWatch, bringing its price tag down to just $129.99 in the Google Store. The device has already received Google’s big Android Wear 5.1.1 update with flick gestures and always-on apps, and it boasts the same internals as devices like the G Watch R and the Moto 360.

Android Wear watches have certainly been cheaper than this — the original G Watch was recently reduced to under $100 — but for a device as attractive as the ZenWatch, $129.99 is a great price. However, there are some things to bear in mind.

First, we don’t know whether this a limited-time reduction or a permanent price drop, so if you’re interested in picking up the ZenWatch, you should get it as soon as you can just in case it goes back up. The other thing to note is that this device has already been succeeded by the ZenWatch 2.

If you don’t mind having a slightly older device, that won’t bother you too much. Both devices look very similar and have identical internals, however, the newer model is available in two sizes.
