Landscape, travel, and humanitarian photographer Colby Brown, who recently explained what makes the rear-facing shooter on the new LG G4 so special, is back to show us how to take great smartphone photos.

In the four-minute video below, Brown offers five tips that will help you shoot better images, like using manual modes to adjust ISO, shutter speed, and white balance.

Of course, it’s a promotional video for the LG G4, so many of the tips focus on the handset’s features — like its new f/1.8 lens. But if you have another smartphone with a decent camera, you can still learn something — like how to take advantage of that aforementioned manual mode.

And if you’re thinking about picking up a G4, the video could well help you make up your mind — particularly if a great camera is important to you.

Based on the early reviews, it seems the G4 — alongside rivals like the Galaxy S6, S6 edge, Galaxy Note 4, and iPhone 6 — offers one of the best smartphone cameras on the market. The G3’s was good, but its successor’s is spectacular.
