Galaxy S5 handsets on AT&T are finally getting Samsung’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop software, one day after the carrier brought Lollipop to 2013’s Galaxy S4.

Lots of Galaxy S5 owners were frustrated on Tuesday when AT&T began rolling out Lollipop for the Galaxy S4, while there was little sign of the update for them. The software has already been released by other U.S. carriers for the Galaxy S5.

But AT&T confirmed on Twitter on Tuesday evening that the Galaxy S5 update will be released today.

In addition to Lollipop features like Smart Lock, lock screen notifications, and multi-user support, this update brings lots of nice TouchWiz improvements, including visual changes for Samsung’s own applications. It also makes significant improvements to performance and battery life.

As always, it will likely take a couple of weeks for this release to reach all users, so don’t be too disappointed if you don’t get it today — but rest assured it’s on its way.
