If you’re an AT&T customer with an HTC One M7, you should be waking up to an update notification for Android 5.0 Lollipop. The over-the-air rollout has begun today, though it may take a couple of weeks for the software to reach all users.

“AT&T HTC One (M7) Owners! Great news, we’ve received technical approval on Lollipop OS,” announced HTC Product Manager Mo Versi on Twitter, before confirming the software would begin its rollout today.

AT&T customers have had to wait months for this Lollipop upgrade, which first started reaching unlocked One M7 handsets back in early February. But most will agree it is well worth the wait.

In addition to new features like Smart Lock, lock screen notifications, and better multitasking, Lollipop significantly improves performance and battery life on the One M7. It also makes some nice improvements to HTC’s Sense user interface and built-in apps.

If you haven’t already received your update notification, you can search for it manually from within the software update section in the Settings app. But again, it could take a couple of weeks to reach everyone, so don’t worry if it isn’t ready for your handset just yet.
