LG G3 owners on AT&T are finally getting the latest Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update, almost two months after it reached users in the U.K. The release brings a long list of new features and improvements, and weighs in at around half a gigabyte.

Lollipop for the G3 brings Google’s latest Android features — including Smart Lock, multi-user support, lock screen notifications, and improved multitasking — as well as lots of improvements to LG’s own apps and user interface.

Users won’t get to experience Material Design in all its glory, thanks to that LG UI, but they will get a taste of it in places. Of course, downloading the Google Now Launcher provides a greater pure Android experience, but LG’s own icons and design elements actually suit Lollipop pretty well.

Lollipop also brings significant performance and battery life improvements, which G3 users should welcome with open arms.

If you haven’t already received an update notification on your handset, you can search for it manually from within the software update section of the Settings app. It may not reach all AT&T users today, however, so don’t worry if you don’t see it right away.
