If you’re a Galaxy S5 user on Verizon, your long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update is incoming. The carrier today confirmed its immediate rollout, which brings new features and significant improvements to performance and battery life.

While Galaxy S5 users don’t get to enjoy Material Design in all its glory thanks to Samsung’s own TouchWiz interface, there’s still plenty to look forward to in this release. Not only do you get the latest Lollipop features from Google, but also some new ones from Samsung as well.

The South Korean has made visual improvements to TouchWiz throughout and updated many of its own apps, adopting Google’s new floating action button in apps like Contacts and Messages. You also get lock screen notifications, better multitasking, and things like Smart Lock.

This is easily the most substantial update the Galaxy S5 has received so far, so you’ll want to get your hands on it as soon as it’s ready for your device. If you haven’t already received an update notification, search for it manually from within the software update section in the Settings app.
