What is likely to be one of Huawei’s most exciting smartphones of the year has been leaked ahead of its official unveiling, and it’s a stunner. The P8 has a large 5.2-inch Full HD display, but it’s the super slim bezels around it that will draw you in.

An edge-to-edge display can make almost any smartphone look good. It’s one of the reasons why LG’s G2 and G3 handsets, while made of plastic, still get plenty of praise for their design — and the reason why the Sharp Aquos Crystal gets such glowing reviews despite its modest specs.

Huawei’s bound to turn a few heads with its upcoming P8 handset (yes, the “Ascend” nomenclature has been dropped by Huawei), then, which is already being pictured out in the wild with beautifully thin bezels and and iPhone-like metallic form factor.

It’s set to be pretty impressive under the hood, too; in addition to its 5.2-inch display, the P8 will reportedly deliver Huawei’s own 64-bit Kirin 930 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization.

It’s not totally clear at this point when the P8 will be available, but according to HDBlog.it, it won’t be making an appearance at Mobile World Congress in early March. Expect to hear something around the second quarter of this year instead.
