Still struggling to get a Nexus 6 through Google Play? You can now buy the device direct from Motorola instead — and providing you get your order in fairly quickly, your handset will be shipped in early January.

Like all of its recent predecessors, the Nexus 6 has been a big success with pure Android fans. We’re yet to hear sales figures from Google or Motorola, but the device has been selling out within just a few hours every time new stock is added to Google Play, making it difficult to get hold of for many — particularly those who want a Cloud White model.

But if you’ve been saving your Christmas money to get one, you can now orders your from Motorola. Both the 32GB and 64GB models are available in Midnight Blue and Cloud White, with prices starting at $649.99. Motorola says “Delivery dates are estimated at checkout” on the handset’s product page, but most models are shipping in early January — around January 6 — as things stand.

We don’t expect Motorola’s stock to be available for long, so you’ll want to get your order in as quickly as possible to save a lengthy delay. Motorola offers free shipping for the Nexus 6, so the price you see on the product page for the model you choose is the final price you pay.
