Giggity! New Family Guy Game Hits Google Play
When Peter Griffin destroys his home town of Quahog during a fight with Ernie the giant chicken, it’s up to you to put things right in The Quest for Stuff, a new Family Guy game from TinyCo that makes its debut on Android today.
You’ll need to rebuild a new community for your favorite characters and then defend it from pirate invasions and evil chickens — all while enjoying original jokes written by real Family Guy writers, and voiced by the show’s original cast.
In the game’s launch trailer below, we get to see the events that led to the destruction of Quahog. The storyline will be somewhat familiar to fans of The Simpsons: Tapped Out, which also sees players rebuilding a town after it’s destroyed by the show’s most famous simpleton.
You begin the game by helping Peter rebuild his home and complete quests to find his family. You can then find other characters and send them on different missions. For each one you complete, you earn experience points and in-game cash, which can be used to buy new buildings.
Because this is a free-to-play title, there are in-app purchases; you can buy extra coins, and gold clams that speed up time and unlock other items. But you don’t need to spend money to progress — it’ll just take you a little bit longer.
If you’re a Family Guy fan who likes mobile games, you’ll certainly enjoy The Quest for Stuff. It’s certainly not the most challenging game you’ll play from what I can tell so far, but it is a lot of fun. Go download it now from Google Play by following the link below.
