Nexus 5 And Nexus 7 To Soon Receive Android 4.4.3 Update [Leak]

Nexus 5 Camera

A new leak has revealed that the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7 handsets will receive the Android 4.4.3 update relatively soon. This confirms several rumors over the past few weeks which have hinted that Google could be rolling out the Android 4.4.3 update with a fix to the Nexus 5 camera issue.

The update has the build number KTU83 on the Nexus 5 (also known as “Hammerhead”), while the version running on the Nexus 7 is revealed to have the build number KTU79.

Sadly there’s nothing much apart from this at the moment as this merely confirms the existence of the new update.

It seems like the builds were only recently worked on, so it could still be in its testing phase. We hope to hear a word or two regarding the update from Google in the coming weeks. And hopefully, users won’t have to wait too long for this one.

Android 4.4.3 Nexus 5

The Nexus 5 camera bug basically keeps the camera application running in the background at all times thus causing severe battery drain. Strangely, this issue hasn’t been spotted on any other Nexus device as of yet.

There’s no word on whether this update will make its way to other Nexus devices like the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2012) and the Nexus 10.
