Samsung Galaxy Note 2 To Get Android 4.4 Soon [Leak]

Galaxy Note 2

A new benchmark listing has revealed the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 sporting Android 4.4 KitKat, hinting that the company is testing the update internally. The model revealed here belongs to a South Korean carrier.

This is very good news for hopeful owners of the 2012 Samsung flagship as the Korean manufacturer had previously promised an update to the Galaxy S III as well as the Galaxy Note 2. It’s unlikely that Samsung would update only the Korean variants of the smartphone, so global as well and other carrier variants of the handset should receive an update soon as well.

It has long been expected that the update will be rolled out by Q2 2014 and it looks like Samsung will be able to live up to its word. We’ll keep you updated with any information we get on the KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 2.

Samsung has already finished rolling out Android 4.4 for the Galaxy S4 as well as the Galaxy Note 3 flagships from last year.
