Samsung Details Pricing Of The Gear 2 And Gear Fit Smartwatches

Gear Fit

Samsung has seemingly confirmed the pricing of the Gear 2 and the Gear Fit smartwatches in Taiwan, much to the joy of local customers. And evidently, the Korean manufacturer has learnt from its past mistakes and is going with a slightly cheaper price tag.

The Gear 2 smartwatch will apparently cost NT$8,990 or $294 while the Gear Fit will cost NT$5,990 which is just a touch under $200. Past rumors have hinted at similar pricing, so we might see the same pattern throughout the world.

The two new Samsung smartwatches have certainly caught the world’s attention since they were announced last month. But with the new breed of Google Wear based devices launching in the coming months, it is imperative that Samsung tries to make the most of the head start it has.

The Moto 360 which was announced a couple of days ago has already caught widespread global attention and might have already hindered Samsung’s chances a little.

However, some reports have suggested that Motorola might not make it available everywhere, which has caused concern among hopeful fans.

Will you wait for the Moto 360 and the LG G Watch or get one of the Gear smartwatches instead?
