Sprint To Begin Selling Moto Maker Codes On March 14 [Leak]

Sprint will begin selling Moto Maker codes in-store beginning Friday, March 14, according to leaked promotional pages that have surfaced online. Customers will be able to go into a Sprint retail store and grab a Moto X on contract, then take home a code that will allow them to customize the device online before it is delivered.

There are some caveats, though.

According to Android Police, which was first to obtain these leaked images of Sprint’s pending website update, the codes will only be available with two-year contracts. In addition to this, customized handsets aren’t eligible for handset insurance, and your device will be delivered to the Sprint store you bought it from — not your home.

Of course, if you’re interested in a customized Moto X, and you’ve been waiting for Sprint to offer Moto Maker codes, then a few minor downsides is hardly doing to put you off.

You should find more details about Sprint’s Moto Maker support on the site’s official landing page starting tomorrow.
