Samsung Galaxy S III To Be Released Next Month? We Doubt It

ZDNet Korea is reporting that Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S III will be announced sometime this month with an April launch to follow. These claims appear to come from Cheil Worldwide, Samsung’s marketing and advertising agency, which is planning a huge advertising campaign for the summer Olympics in London. While the Olympics campaign makes sense to us, we’re highly doubtful of a March announcement or April launch.

We know the Galaxy S III will be announced at some point this year, but I don’t expect it to come until the summer. Of course I won’t complain if we get an announcement this month, but I’m not holding my breath. The Galaxy S III will most likely hit the European market first and is expected to be sporting:

  • A 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor
  • A 4.8″ 1080p resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio display
  • A 2MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear camera
  • Ceramic case
  • 4G LTE
  • Android 4.0

Take this latest news with a grain of salt but fully expect Samsung to have an advertising presence at the Olympic games in London this summer. You can read the report yourself by following the link below.
