ASUS has announced that the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat over-the-air update is currently in preparation for all ASUS PadFone 2, ASUS PadFone Infinity, ASUS PadFone A80 and PadFone Infinity variants located in Asia, Europe and North America. In addition, the Taiwanese company also reported that due to popular demand, the latest version of its ‘Zen’ user interface will also be bundled into the upgrade.

According to the press release, all Padfone 2, Infinity and A80 models will receive the update by the end of this years second quarter, whilst the newly-announced PadFone Infinity will start to acquire it sometime during quarter three, though we anticipate it to be sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any more news with regards to the updates at this stage, but, according to ASUS, more information will be provided ‘at a later date’ — so be sure to check back as we’ll let you know as and when the upgrades are set to start rolling out.
