Could This Be Huawei’s Upcoming Smartwatch? [Leak]
Huawei’s rumored smartwatch could be more of a smart band if the leaked photograph above is anything to go by. Interestingly, it comes directly from a Huawei official, who posted it online to show off his new “toy”.
Judging by what the official said, this accessory should be available in several other color options. The device here looks more like a wrist band than a conventional wearable, and since there’s such a small diaplay, it’s unlikely that it could be used as a full-blown smartwatch like the Pebble or the Samsung Galaxy Gear.
LG showed off its own fitness accessory last month at CES called the LifeBand, so it won’t surprise us if a fellow smartphone OEM comes up with something similar. It is being claimed that this wearable device will be shown off at next week’s MWC event, where the company is also expected to launch the MediaPad X1 tablet and a couple of other devices.
Samsung is also expected to launch a second-generation Galaxy Gear at MWC — as well as a “Galaxy Gear Fit” health tracker that could compete with devices like the Nike FuelBand and the Fitbit Flex.
