Samsung unveiled its latest mid-range dual-SIM smartphone, the Galaxy Grand 2, back in November last year, and this week the handset is on sale in India from several independent retailers for ₹22,999 (Indian Rupee) — approximately $374.

In terms of specifications the handset packs a 5.25-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.9-megapixel front-facing shooter and a 2,600 mAh Li-Ion battery.

The Galaxy Grand 2 ships running the latest version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean skinned with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, which the company claims “is the easier way to use your device, giving you intuitive control over everyday tasks.”

As an incentive, the South Korean company is giving its Indian customers free access to Club Samsung for three months, allowing users to enjoy unlimited music, movies and mobile TV in 9 Indian native languages.
