Android 4.4 KitKat Will Rollout To International LG G2 This Month
International LG G2 owners are in for a treat over the coming weeks after LG’s official Twitter account for Saudi Arabia confirmed that the device will get its Android 4.4 KitKat update this month. Those in other markets are expected to receive the update around the same time.
LG had promised that KitKat would be coming to the G2 in January, but given the company’s track record when it comes to Android updates, we didn’t want to lean too heavily on that promise. But according to its Saudi Arabian arm, LG is firmly sticking to that timescale.
The G2’s KitKat update will mostly consist of performance improvements, but users can expect some minor design changes as well — including white status bar icons like those in Google’s stock KitKat firmware, and some improvements to the Settings app.
