Droid Incredible 4G

Who remembers HTC’s Droid Incredible 4G LTE? Well, Verizon finally has. The operator has at last posted the official update documents for its first major maintenance upgrade in just under two years. The paperwork reveals that update version 2.19.605.2710RD is scheduled to bring some new applications, as well as a truckload of stability improvements, security patches, bug fixes and speed optimizations.

The Droid Incredible 4G LTE was released back in July, 2012, and packed a 4-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels coated with Corning Gorilla Glass, a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset powered by two 1.2GHz Krait CPU’s, an Adreno 225 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD), an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1,700 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.

The full changelog for the upcoming over-the-air update can be seen below:

Key Device Improvements:

  • ISIS Mobile Wallet is now supported.
  • Software Upgrade and Software Repair Tools are now compatible.
  • Power Cycling has been reduced.
  • Bluetooth clarity has been improved.
  • Security patches have been added.

Sadly, Verizon did not officially announce a date for this roll out, though, we can assume that its imminent, seeing as operators usually post these documents on their websites just before they push out the update.
