Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Remastered Available Now On Android & iOS

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was undoubtedly a reason to buy a Sega Genesis back in 1992, but if you thought it was decent then, you should check it out the new remastered version for Android and iOS.

The title has been completely rebuilt for mobile devices, and it boasts exclusive new content including access to the mysterious Hidden Palace Zone and an all-new “Boss Attack mode,” plus improved graphics and audio.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 has actually been available on Android and iOS for some time, but now it’s much-improved thanks to all of the enhancements Sega has made. The classic adventure can now be enjoyed with prettier widescreen graphics and better sound, and it’s buttery smooth at 60 frames-per-second.

There’s also a new game mode called “Boss Attack,” which sees players attempt to beat all of Dr Robotnic’s evil robots one after the other; and for the first time, players can explore the Hidden Palace Zone, a brand new stage that never made its way into the original game.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is priced at $2.99 in the App Store and on Google Play, but if you already own the game, you’ll be able to download the latest update — which includes all of the improvements and add-ons mentioned above — at no extra cost.
