Sony promised its Xperia ZL users that they would be getting an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update this month, and judging by these leaked screenshots, it could be right around the corner. One users already has their hands on the new release, which brings some user interface improvements, an updated kernel, and more.

The Xperia ZL’s launcher and home screen look very similar to that of the Xperia Z1’s with Android 4.3. It’s also expected to bring performance improvements across the board, and of course everything else you’d expect from the latest version of Jelly Bean, such as support for OpenGL ES 3.0 graphics, and support for Bluetooth 4.0.

Sony hasn’t detailed everything that will be included in this update, however, so I’m sure there will be plenty of other changes and improvements that’ll surprise us when the update is made available to the public in the coming weeks.

The Xperia ZL won’t be the only handset getting Android 4.3 this month; Sony is also bringing it to the original Xperia Z, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia ZR, Xperia SP, Xperia Z Ultra, and Xperia Z1.
