Verizon Rolling Out Android 4.2.2 Update For HTC Droid DNA
Verizon is in the process of pushing out a rather hefty, unexpected over-the-air (OTA) update to all HTC Droid DNA handsets located in the United States. This upgrade brings the latest build of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 to the device complete with a multitude of additional bug fixes and speed enhancements.
The Droid DNA was announced back in November, 2012, and went on sale to the public shortly after its announcement. The handset packs a 5-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels coated in a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for added protection, a Qualcomm MDM615m/APQ8064 chipset powered by four 1.5GHz Krait CPU’s, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of non-expandable internal storage, an Adreno 320 GPU, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2,020 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.

If you own a Verizon-branded HTC Droid DNA and have not yet received the over-the-air update, you can head into “Settings,” then “About Device,” and select “Check for Updates” to manually scan for the upgrade. Alternatively, you can wait for the push notification, pictured on the right, to be pushed to your device, prompting you to download and install the update.
