Best Buy Now Listing Sprint Nexus 5 For $449 Off-Contract
Best Buy is now listing a “Sprint” version of Google’s flagship Nexus 5 on its online store. As expected, the handset’s on and off-contract pricing is exactly same as the operators, starting at $449.99 for the 16GB off-contract model of the Android-powered smartphone. In addition, customers who choose to upgrade to the flagship device will also face a $149.99 fee for signing a new agreement with the carrier.
The Nexus 5 is arguably the most impressive Android device on the market and provides the most bang for your buck, featuring a gorgeous 4.95-inch True HD IPS+ capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2,300 mAh non-removable battery.
In addition, the Nexus 5 is the only handset on the market to ship as standard with Android 4.4 KitKat, which brings a completely redesigned user interface, SMS message integration in Hangouts, Google Now on the home screen, and lots, lots more.
Best Buy is currently listing the device in both the black and white variants, however, at this precise moment in time its only available in the 16GB model, and the retailer still has a “Pre-Order button” displayed on its site. It’s more than likely the the device will actually go on sale on Friday, October 8, the same date as Sprint is scheduled to start letting inventory fly of its shelves.
