Yesterday, the popular U.K. carrier, Vodafone U.K., officially announced in a press release that it will now be extending its “4G Bonus” program until the end of January. This offer, which was originally intended to conclude at the end of October, gives anyone signing up to a Vodafone Red 4G plan an additional 4GB of bonus data per month for the total length of their contract.

In addition, SIM-only and 12/24 month customers, whose contracts include a bundled 4G phone, will receive unlimited data for the first three months , then double the standard data allowance plus an extra 4GB for the entire length of their contact. If that’s not a good will gesture, then I don’t know what is.

The full list of Vodafone’s Red tariffs can be seen below:

  • Red 4G-Ready (starting from £31 per month) – Unlimited U.K. minutes, unlimited texts, 3-month Data Test Drive, 500 MB of Wi-Fi and 2GB of 4G data.
  • Red L 4G-ready (starting from £40 per month) – Unlimited U.K. minutes, unlimited texts, 3-month Data Test Drive, 500 MB of Wi-Fi and 2GB of 4G data.
  • Red XL (starting from £47 per month) Unlimited U.K. minutes, unlimited texts, 3-month Data Test Drive, 500MB of Wi-Fi and 4GB of 4G data.

It certainly seems like the U.K. LTE market is becoming a little bit more competitive, thanks to the introduction of Vodafone’s and O2’s 4G services, so far this year.
