Spigen Teases New Nexus 5 Case, Tells Us To Be Ready For The Revolution

Popular case and accessory manufacturer Spigen is gearing up for the upcoming Google Nexus 5 by teasing its new case on Google+ and telling us to be ready for the “Nexus 5 revolution.” The teaser comes a day after one retailer started taking pre-orders for a whole selection of new Nexus 5 cases ahead of the handset’s official unveiling.

While we often see cases for upcoming devices before their launch, they’re usually from small-time manufacturers who want to get their products to market before anyone else does; it’s not often you see big names like Spigen doing a similar thing. But at least it’s only teasing its new case — not accepting orders for it.

It’s unclear which case is featured in the image above, but it looks a little like Spigen’s “Neo Hybrid” solution, which combines a strong polycarbonate shell with a soft-frame bumper. However, it looks as though this case may have a folding front cover (there appears to be some kind of hinge on the left side), which the Neo Hybrid doesn’t have.

The image suggests the Nexus 5 will be super thing — significantly slimmer than its predecessor. Even inside Spigen’s case it doesn’t look bulky at all. We also get a good look at the massive camera lens and flash.
