r819

OPPO has officially launched its second Android smartphone packing a rather exiting feature. The R819, which is a solid mid-range handset provides the freedom of switching between the stock Android ROM and OPPO’s Color ROM. Therefore making it one of the few devices on the market to offer dual-ROM capabilities.

The R819 packs a 4.7-inch 720p display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel f.2.0 Sony Exmor camera and a 2,000 mAh. The handset will ship running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, and like most other Chinese devices it will incorporate support for two SIM cards.

In terms of design, the R819 is sleek, elegant and compact weighing in at just 110 grams, with a meticulously thin 7.3mm bezel.

This new OPPO comes with a $349/£229 price tag, which is pretty reasonable for an impressive mid-range Android smartphone, featuring both OPPO’s own Color ROM and stock Android.

Pre-orders are currently being accepted at the OPPO Style website, with a shipping date estimated for early September.
