IMDb Update Brings Movie Ticket Purchasing To U.S. Users

IMDb-Android

The official IMDb app for Android has been updated to bring movie ticket purchasing to users in the United States — a feature which was just added to the app’s iOS counterpart. The release also makes some improvements to the Watchlist feature, and promises performance enhancements.

When looking at movies that are showing in your local cinema, IMDb for Android will now give you the opportunity to purchase tickets from right within the app. Simply tap the “Tickets” button alongside a time that suits you to make your purchase.

In addition to ticket purchasing, IMDb has made some improvements to its Watchlist feature:

Now you can filter and sort the movies and TV shows on your Watchlist. Looking for horror movies currently in theaters, or comedies available on DVD/Blu-ray? Your Watchlist can help you zoom in on what you want to watch, where you want to watch it.

Finally, the new update brings “performance improvements to help pages scroll more smoothly and responsively,” and some bug fixes.

You can download the update now from Google Play.
