Twitter For Android Gets Richer Notifications, Improved Tweet Composer & More

unnamed

Twitter for Android has been updated to bring a few new features that will definitely catch your eye. The update V4.1.0 makes improvements to fonts and colors, and the arrangement of tweets are displayed in a simple and crisper way, making Twitter more of a pleasure to use. There are also some new features.

The first change in the Twitter update is the new camera roll view – now you can view all of your images in the camera roll, within the compose window. This is very useful if you’re like me and you love to upload pictures to Twitter, but always compose the message first. Prior to the update, you had to open up the gallery application and select the image you wanted to upload, there wasn’t anything wrong with the old method, but the new one is much easier and more productive.

The second change the Twitter update brings you, is richer notifications to your device – you will receive information on the type of interaction within the notification pane, with separate icons for each interaction, instead of the simple Twitter logo, which was displayed prior to the update. You will also see profile pictures of the people interacting with you, within the application, in addition to information on the type of interaction.

Also, you will now receive notifications whenever a friend joins Twitter, so you will be able to communicate with your friends as soon as they join.

The full changelog of the 4.1.0 update can be seen below, taken directly from the Twitter application page on the Play Store.

• Richer notifications now include details like avatars and indicate how people are interacting with you (reply, retweet, etc.) for devices running Android 4.0 and higher,
• Enjoy wider and taller timelines in all parts of the app including profiles, search, and Discover.
