Android Jelly Bean Comes To Original Galaxy Note In Canada, U.K.

An Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is currently making its way to international Samsung Galaxy Note devices in Canada and the United Kingdom. Users on Bell, Rogers, and TELUS in Canada have all seen the update, as have those with an unlocked device in the U.K.

This is a significant update for the original Galaxy Note, which adds a whole host of new features and improvements. Two of the biggest things users can look forward to are Google Now, and Project Butter, which should make performance significantly better.

Samsung has also made updates to its TouchWiz user interface in this release, introducing a number of features that first made their debut on the Galaxy Note II, including Popup Video and Browser, Paper Artist, Popup Note, and more.

This is the same update that arrived on AT&T Galaxy Notes earlier this week. It’s rolling out over-the-air, but users can also download and install it using Samsung’s KIES application for Mac and PC.
