“Doo” is a new document management service that recently launched on the desktop. Today the app arrived on Google Play for Android phones and tablets.

Think of doo as the hub for collecting and categorizing your various documents from different sources. You can sync with services like Dropbox, Google Drive, and email to pull in documents and view them all in one place.

“It’s the combination of access to all documents, local or in the cloud, with our powerful search capabilities based on intelligent tags that makes doo for Android incredibly useful,” said doo CEO Frank Thelen. “Access to all your documents alone wouldn’t solve the problem without the search capabilities to find the one you’re looking for in a matter of seconds.”

Documents can be tagged and searched inside the app. Everything is stored in PDF format, which means that you can’t edit unless you download a file directly to your device. Then you have to re-upload to save the changed version in doo. It’s a pretty cumbersome process, so most users will probably stick to using this app as only a document viewer.

doo is available in Google Play now. The service is free for 1GB of storage per month. Premium plans with additional storage are available.
