WordPress App For Android Gets ‘Big UI Update’ With New Look & New Features

WordPress-Android

The official WordPress app for Android has been given a welcome redesign in the “big UI update” out today. Users will find that the app now fits in nicely with Android’s Holo guidelines, and has new navigation features that make it easier to get around. There are also a number of nice new features.

Not only does the app look a great deal cleaner and just generally much more pleasant, but it also makes things easier. The new Action Bar provides you with fast access to common actions, while the menu drawer lets you quickly move around different parts of the app, such as the posts, pages, and comments sections.

In addition to this, there are also some new features. The “view site” feature lets you access your blog and then share your content with your friends, and WordPress.com users can now view the web dashboard (finally!). The WordPress.com Reader now takes advantage of caching to offer noticeably faster load times.

You can download the latest WordPress release now from Google Play by clicking the source link below. It’s available on both smartphones and tablets running Android 3.2 and above.
