Samsung’s third-generation Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.0 are expected to get their grand unveiling sometime this week, with the 3G models set to go on sale in May. Both devices will reportedly boast dual-core processors, 3-megapixel rear-facing cameras, and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

The slightly speedier LTE models will then go on sale in June or July, according to Greek website Techblog.

The biggest differences between the second- and third-generation Galaxy Tabs will reportedly be their size, weight, and battery capacities. The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 is expected to measure 256.7 x 175.3 x 8.7mm and weight 533 grams, with a large 7,000 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is expected to measure 209.6 x 112.1 x 6.95mm and weigh 330 grams, with a 4,500 mAh battery.

Both devices will feature 1.5GHz dual-core processors, 1280×800-pixel resolutions, 3-megapixel rear-facing cameras, and 1.3-megapixel front-facing cameras. They will also come with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean pre-installed, according to Techblog, which has published the blurry above image that’s purported to be one of the new devices.
