Leaked Staples Document Reveals Galaxy S4 Launch Dates
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is scheduled to arrive on AT&T on April 26, and you’ll be able to reserve yours at Staples from April 16, according to “tentative launch dates” revealed by a leaked company document. The device will then be made available on T-Mobile on May 1, followed by Verizon on May 30.
Although these dates aren’t final yet, the launch date for the AT&T handset lines up with the Galaxy S4’s launch date in the United Kingdom, while the launch date for the T-Mobile version matches the “around May 1” estimate given by the carrier itself during its recent “Uncarrier” press event.
Unfortunately, the document — which was obtained by Engadget — doesn’t reveal the handset’s price tag, but it does explain Staples’ reservation policy. You be able to reserve a handset from April 16, but a reservation “is NOT a guarantee of inventory on launch dates. This is only a signal to customers that we will call them when we have a unit in-store for them.”
