The impressive Sony Xperia Tablet Z is set to launch in the United Kingdom on May 20, priced at £499 ($590). The super thin slate, which measures just 6.9mm thick, has been on sale in Japan since January, and it’s received a whole host of positive reviews. If you’ve been itching to get your mitts on it, you can pre-order yours now.

British retailer Clove.co.uk is currently accepting pre-orders for the device, which comes with 16GB of internal storage, and 4G LTE connectivity as standard. Other highlights include a 10-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel Exmor R camera.

And like the Xperia Z smartphone, the tablet is waterproof and dust-proof, with IP57 certification.

I got my hands on the Xperia Tablet Z at Mobile World Congress back in February, and I was hugely impressed by it; its display is gorgeous, as is its 6.9mm form factor. £499 isn’t cheap, but it’s the same price you’ll pay for a 16GB iPad with LTE connectivity.
