Android 5.0 is on the way, and according to a Samsung insider, the company is currently making plans to upgrade a number of existing devices to the new operating system. The Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Tab 10.1, and Galaxy Note 8.0 will all be receiving Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, according to the source.

If you own an older device, such as the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy S II, don’t worry — Samsung hasn’t forgotten about you. Older devices will be receiving an update for Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, along with some newer devices such as the Galaxy S III Mini. But it looks like you won’t get Key Lime Pie, unfortunately.

This information comes from a source for SamMobile, which has a very good track record when it comes to Samsung rumors.

The new features of Key Lime Pie are still to be confirmed, however, there have been a few rumors regarding enhanced social network support, improved multiple device support, video chat and cross-device SMS sync. Although there are loads of other rumors going around, these appear to be the most logical and likely features to be implemented into Android 5.0.
