HTC Announces Mid-Range One SV With 4.3-Inch Display, NFC, 4G Connectivity For U.K.

HTC has added another smartphone to its One family this morning, this time catering to those with a taste for mid-range devices that don’t break the bank. It’s called the One SV, and it’s headed to EE — the United Kingdom’s first and only 4G carrier — with 4G connectivity in the coming weeks.

While it may be a mid-range handset, the HTC One SV is a very capable Android smartphone, and it boasts a nice feature set. In addition to its 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 display — which offers a WVGA (480×800) resolution — you can look forward to a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and NFC connectivity.

It also offers a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/2.0 lens, which is able to record full 1080p video, and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera. It has just 8GB of internal storage, but that’s expandable via the microSD card slot, and you’ll get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich — not Jelly Bean — out of the box with HTC Sense.

The One SV will launch in the U.K. in the coming weeks, and it will offer super speedy 4G LTE connectivity on EE. It will also be available through other carriers, if you don’t mind sticking to 3G networks.
