GSM Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S Devices Begin Receiving Android 4.1.2

If you happen to be the owner of a GSM/HSPA Galaxy Nexus or Nexus S, you might want to keep your eye out for an update. According to reports, Android 4.1.2 has begun rolling out to the “yakju” Galaxy Nexus and the “soju” Nexus S. This isn’t surprising since Google posted the factory images just a few days ago and it’s only been about a week since Nexus 7 owners received the update. .

The update itself isn’t anything major and doesn’t add much that the user will notice. However, you will notice the ability to expand notifications with a single finger scroll now. As always, Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners will have to wait much, much longer before seeing the update hit their device, but that’s nothing new.

Of course, if you’re the impatient type, you can head over to XDA and manually update to Android 4.1.2.

Cheers!
