Samsung Announces The Galaxy Music – A Mini-Speaker That Makes Phone Calls

Samsung has taken a break from announcing “The Next Big Thing,” to announce the smaller, entry-level Galaxy Music. This mini-speaker that makes calls features a 3-inch QVGA(240×320) TFT display, dual frontal stereo speakers, 3MP fixed-focus rear camera w/ no flash, Android 4.0, 4GB on board storage (expandable microSD up to 32GB), 512MB(RAM), an unspecified processor and a 1,300mAh battery.

The specs are a far cry from what we’re used to hearing and almost sound like a step backwards, but hey, there may be a market for it. I can’t imagine anyone charging anything for this device on contract but I’ve seen stranger things happen.

There’s no mention of price or specific release date, but there is a mention of a dual-SIM version in the form of the GALAXY Music Duos.
