Unannounced DROID 4 Advertised On Best Buy’s Reward Zone

Only Best Buy would advertise a device yet announced. They continue their reign of advertising blunders by offering up 5000 bonus reward points for purchasing an unannounced and unavailable Motorola DROID 4. This may not be as bad as when they were selling the Nexus Prime, but it’s still a doozy. The Motorola DROID 4 was previously rumored to be released this month, but for reasons unknown, has disappeared into the Verizon device abyss.

We haven’t heard much about the DROID 4 since it missed its rumored release date, but given Verizon’s latest 4G LTE issues, perhaps they are sitting tight until they work things out. I’m betting it’s due to their horrendous device release scheduling but who knows? It’s safe to say Best Buy was simply pushing out an advertisement previously prepared to run in conjunction with the original DROID 4 release date, or maybe they were simply doing it for the lulz. I mean, offering up 5000 bonus points for a device that’s not available on a network that’s currently unavailable is pretty funny. Yea, I know — Best Buy isn’t that clever.

Well, have another laugh at the expense of Best Buy and then return to your regularly scheduled programming.
