Using your smartphone while scoffing fast food will leave your shiny display covered in grease and grime, but thanks to KFC, there’s a better way to live-tweet what you’re eating.

The finger-licking chicken giant has designed a paper-thin Bluetooth keyboard called the Tray Typer, which lets you text, tweet, and even get stuff done over dinner without having to touch your smartphone at all.

The Tray Typer measures just 0.4mm thin, has a rechargeable battery built-in, and connects to almost any modern smartphone, tablet, or laptop wirelessly. It’s also water-resistant and durable, so you don’t have to worry about covering it in barbecue sauce or soda.

Simply pair the Tray Typer with your smartphone before you tuck into your chicken and you can type away as much as you like with dirtying your device. The people you’re eating with will think you’re incredibly rude, but at least you won’t miss anything on Facebook.

Unfortunately, the Tray Typer was only available in KFC restaurants in Germany for one week, and every single one was taken home by customers. But given that it was so popular — and pretty cheap to produce — we probably haven’t seen the last of it yet.
