The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, a more affordable version of Samsung’s entry-level Android tablet, has been made available to pre-order in Europe for the first time since it was announced last week.

The Wi-Fi only model is priced at 6,490 rubles in Russia, which is roughly $206 U.S. dollars; while the 3G model costs 9,900 rubles, which is around $294 U.S. dollars.

SamMobile notes that mobile devices are often priced pretty high in Russia, so the actual price of the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in the U.S. and other parts of Europe may be a little less. It certainly appears as though the device won’t quite be as cheap as most of us were expecting, but it will be cheaper than Samsung’s other Galaxy Tab devices.

No release date is mentioned for the device, but it’s thought it will be launching in Russia — and likely other parts of Europe, too — before the end of January.

The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite boasts a 7-inch WSVGA display with a 1024×600 resolution, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. There’s also a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, a 3,600mAh battery, and a microSD card slot.
