Sprint Gets New Galaxy S4 Variant With Spark LTE Compatibility

Galaxy-S4-Sprint-Spark

Sprint has announced that it plans to launch a new Samsung Galaxy S4 variant that features support for its Spark LTE network. Spark promises faster speeds and better reliability over traditional LTE networks, and it’s already supported by Samsung’s Galaxy S4 mini and Galaxy Mega 6.3.

The rest of the Galaxy S4’s specifications will remain the same, so it will sport the same 5-inch 1080p display, with the same 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. The handset will also look identical to the original — with the only difference being its new modem that is compatible with Spark LTE.

The new Galaxy S4 will cost $199.99 on a two-year contract (that’s the same price as the regular model). Sprint hasn’t given us a specific release date yet, but the company says you’ll be able to buy the handset within the “next few weeks.” We certainly expect it to arrive before Christmas.
