Gameloft’s Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour is, without doubt, the best first-person shooter available on mobile. It’s the latest edition to the company’s Modern Combat series, and it promises to “push the boundaries of mobile gaming even further” with stunning visuals, an awesome campaign, and a completely redesigned multiplayer mode.

If you haven’t already got it and you’re a fan of FPS titles, then you’re crazy. But now’s the best time to pick it up, because its price tag has just been slashed from $6.99 to $0.99 for a limited time.

Available on Android and iOS, Zero Hour’s campaign takes place in the wake of a nuclear disaster, and you play one of a few elite soldiers who have been tasked with saving the world from complete devastation. You must track down and rescue the world’s leaders from a terrorist group in missions that will take you from the Antarctica to Barcelona.

Once you’ve finished with the campaign, you can dive into Zero Hour’s new online multiplayer mode, which will throw you into 6v6 battles with all kinds of game modes. There’s an improved loadout system with over 20,000 weapon arrangements, and a new specialization system with redesigned skills.

Zero Hour is the first title powered by Gameloft’s new Havok Engine, which claims to offer “amazing ragdoll effects and the most realistic-feeling vehicles ever.” Couple that with the incredible sound and cutting-edge graphics and you have the best first-person shooter to hit mobile to date.

Seriously, if you’re a Call of Duty fan who’s itching to get your fix on the go, then Zero Hour is the closest you’ll get on mobile. Pick it up now in the App Store or on Google Play.
