Twitter has officially rolled out the latest version of its Twitter application to all registered Android beta testers via the Play Store. Version 5.2 comes in the form of a rather hefty update and brings with it the ability to take action on incoming tweets directly from the notification panel; enabling users to reply, retweet and favourite posts.

Sony unveiled its latest affordable dual-SIM Android-powered smartphone, the Xperia E1, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas back in January and now, with no official announcement, the handset is available to buy from Infibeam, an independent electronics retailer in India, for 9,899 INR — which equates to approximately $162, with a free pair of Sony MDR-ZX110A headphones thrown in.

If you own a Moto X on AT&T and have joined the Motorola Feedback Network you should be receiving an invitation for a new soak test this afternoon. According to a technical consultant Bas Bosschert, WhatsApp for Android has some serious loopholes in place, mostly pertaining to security. He says that malicious apps can easily get hold of a user’s WhatsApp data thanks to the way messages are stored on an Android device.
