Besides the RE Camera, HTC also unveiled its newest member to the Desire family — the Desire EYE. This selfie focused handset comes with dual-13MP cameras (in the front and rear) along with two-tone dual-LED flash allowing you to capture “the big and small moments in perfect clarity.”

Externally, the Desire EYE sports a unibody polycarbonate body and with very bold colors highlights its accents and sides. Besides the camera and the different build material, the Desire EYE sports the same specs as the company’s flagship — the One M8. This means that the handset is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, a microSD card slot and a 2400mAh battery.

While the front and rear cameras have a 13MP resolution, the latter has an F/2.0 aperture and comes with a 28mm wide angle lens, while the former has an F/2.2 aperture and a 22mm wide angle lens. Both cameras also have their own two-tone dual LED flash as well.

On the software side, the Desire Eye runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Sense 6. HTC, however, has also includes some new camera tricks in the handset including a voice activated selfie mode, Split capture, Face fusion, Live makeup and more.

The Desire EYE will go on sale in EMEA, Asia and the United States from October.
