Samsung has gone ahead and silently unveiled the Galaxy Mega 2 in Thailand. Apparently, the handset was already on sale in Thailand for the last one month or so, but it was only today that Samsung updated its website to reflect its latest Galaxy offering.

The Mega 2 comes with a gigantic 6-inch screen with 720p resolution. Other specs of the phablet are nothing impressive as well and include a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot and LTE connectivity. There is also an 8MP shooter at the rear and a 2.1MP shooter in the front for all your selfie needs.

The 2800mAh removable battery should be enough to make sure that the Mega 2 lasts at least a day of heavy usage. On the software side, the Mega 2 comes with some of the goodies already seen on the Galaxy S5 including an Ultra Power Saving mode, Kids Mode, Private mode and more.

The Galaxy Mega 2 is available in Cosmic black and Blizzard white colors in Thailand and retails for around $400.

Samsung is yet to announce expanded retail availability of the Galaxy Mega 2 outside of Thailand.
