Huawei took to YouTube earlier today to tease its upcoming flagship smartphone of 2014. All signs point towards the Ascend Mate 7 being announced at the annual IFA consumer trade show in Berlin, Germany, on Thursday, September 4.

The video, entitled 7 Mates For 7 Dreamers, focuses on seven individuals and their desires — a Duchess/Racer, a Tycoon/Daredevil, a Techie/Sculptor, a CEO/Nanny, an Archaeologist/Goal Chaser, a Mixologist/Artist and finally a Princess/Globetrotter — illustrating just how they pursue their unexpected dreams using an unannounced Huawei smartphone. Check it out below:

If recent leaks, rumors and speculation are anything to go by, the Mate 7 is set to feature a 6-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, an octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 920 processor, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 305 graphics, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 4,050 mAh removable battery.

If these alleged specifications do, in fact, turn out to be correct, will you be picking up an Ascend Mate 7? Be sure to let us know in the comments section down below.
